L'article examine les arguments développés concernant les quotas et la parité sous deux angles : d'une part, la dénonciation de l'exclusion politique des femmes et, d'autre part, la légitimité de leur inclusion politique. Il met en évidence la valeur de la parité par rapport aux quotas tout en soulignant les écueils qui pèsent sur la revendication paritaire. La parité ne permet pas de dépasser les dilemmes universalisme/ particularisme, égalité/différence, mais sa revendication a le mérite d'avoir intégré la sous-représentation politique des femmes au débat public.The article examines the arguments on quotas and parity from two angles: on the one hand, the denunciation of women's political exclusion, and on the other hand, the legitimation of their political inclusion. The article points out the value of parity in comparison with quotas and emphasizes the parity's ambiguities. Parity do not resolve the dilemas between universalism and particularism, equality and difference. But its demand has the merit to put the women's politicalunder representation on the public and political agenda
