Suite à une enquête par questionnaire auprès de plus de 2 200 filles et garçons québécois âgés de 15 ans, l'article présente un profil de certaines composantes de la «masculinité» chez le groupe de garçons. Pour ce faire, les réponses des garçons à chacune des questions sont comparées systématiquement à celles des filles. Ensuite, un deuxième profil de la «masculinité» est construit à partir, cette fois, des positions adoptées par une majorité de garçons, sans tenir compte des réponses données par les filles. Les résultats issus des deux méthodes d'analysesont ensuite comparés. Sur le plan des rapports sociaux de sexe, la synthèse montre que ce sont plutôt les filles qui sont porteuses de changement social, autant pour elles-mêmes que pour les garçons qu'elles côtoient. Ces derniers restent près d'une définition plus conformiste de l'«identité masculine», mais certains indices d'évolution de leurs représentations peuvent être liés aux actions du mouvement des femmes.Following a research where 2 200 Quebec boys and girls aged 15 answered a questionnaire, the article first presents a profile of what is considered «masculinity» amongst boys. In order to qualify the boys' answers, they are compared to the girls' on each and every question. A second profile of «masculinity» is then seeked, this time using the positions taken by a majority of boys, notwithstanding what position the girls held. Finally, since the two profiles represent the same group of boys but result from different methods of analysis, they are compared to one another. The synthesis shows that the girls are mostly open to social change, for themselves as well as for their schoolmates. The boys reveal themselves close to a traditional image of «masculinity» and the few changes observed in their representations can be linked to actions of the women's movement
