Au cours des trois dernières décennies, le législateur québécois a procédé à certaines réformes qui ont profondément modifié l'encadrement juridique des rapports pécuniaires entre époux. Le 1er juillet 1970, il instituait le régime matrimonial légal de la société d'acquêts. Le 2 avril 1981, il imposait à tous les époux une contribution proportionnelle aux charges du mariage. Le 1er juillet 1989, il assujettissait l'ensemble des couples au patrimoine familial. Dans une perspective sociojuridique, l'auteur tente de dégager les fondements à la base de ces réformes pour ensuite s'interroger sur leur pertinence et leur actualité eu égard aux profonds changements dont le mariage et les valeurs conjugales ont été l'objet. Son analyse l'amène à conclure qu'un réaménagement du cadre législatif est non seulement souhaitable, mais s'impose plus que jamais.Over the past three decades, the Québec legislator has made various reforms that have substantially changed the legal framework encompassing the pecuniary relationships between spouses. On 1 July 1970, the legislator implemented the legal marital regime of the partnership of acquests. On 2 April 1981, all spouses became legally liable for contributing proportionately to the charges of married life. Then on 1 July 1989, couples would henceforth be subject to the family patrimony regime. From a socio-legal perspective, the author seeks to shed light on the basis of these reforms and then question their relevance and current importance with regard to the profound changes that have impacted marriage, the institution, and conjugal values. This analysis leads her to conclude that a revamping of the legislative landscape is not merely something to wish for, but an impending necessity
