Ce texte, après avoir rappelé le développement de la participation chinoise aux conventions et aux organisations internationales en matière économique et sociale depuis la fin des années 70, rappelle la position chinoise dans les négociations relatives à la participation chinoise à l'Organisation mondiale du commerce, fait le point sur l'état de ces négociations, de même que sur l'état des rapports entre la Chine et l'Union européenne.This paper begins with a review of the development involving Chinese participation in international treaties and organizations dealing with social and economic issues since the end of the 1970s. It then reviews the Chinese position in negotiations relating to Chinese participation in the Word Trade Organization and provides an update on these negotiations, plus a status report on relations between China and the European Union
