La stratigraphie de l'île aux Coudres est représentée par trois coupes naturelles affleurant dans le secteur de la pointe de la Prairie, sur la côte nord-ouest de l'île. La découverte d'un horizon organique, à mi-hauteur des coupes, permet d'attribuer au Wisconsinien moyen une partie des unités stratigraphiques de l'île. La coupe composite comprend, de la base au sommet, sept unités: unité n° 1 : sédiments sablo-graveleux stratifiés, associés à une plaine d'épandage fluvioglaciaire; unité n° 2: série de rythmites glacio-lacustres, argilo-silteuses; unité n° 3: sables fluviatiles stratifiés passant graduellement à un faciès de sédiments lacustres ou de plaine alluviale; unité n°4: sédiments organiques phytogènes comprenant de la tourbe compactée et des morceaux de bois aplatis, datés entre 34 430 et 26 400 ans BP, associés à un épisode terrestre, caractérisé par une plaine alluviale boisée et tourbeuse à caractère boréal; unité n° 5: sables stratifiés avec des déformations glacio-tectoniques; unité n°6: till et sédiments de contact glaciaire, associés à l'avancée glaciaire de Gentilly; unité n° 7: sédiments littoraux d'eau peu profonde de la mer de Goldthwait. L'épisode marin post-glaciaire a donné au relief de l'île une grande partie de son aspect actuel depuis 9800 9400 ans BP, soit depuis le Goldthwaitien III. Une série de radiodatations 14C est publiée. Les informations suggérées par l'analyse pollinique et l'analyse des diatomées d'échantillons provenant des unités stratigraphiques nos 2 et 4 permettent de mieux préciser leurs paléoenvironnements. Les corrélations possibles avec des unités stratigraphiques du Quaternaire des basses terres du Saint-Laurent et de la région de Québec sont discutées.The Quaternary stratigraphy of île aux Coudres has been surveyed in three sections in the immediate vicinity of Pointe de Ia Prairie, on the northwestern side of the island. Gullying exposed in the sections an organic layer that has been dated as from Middle Wisconsinan. From base to top, the composite section may be subdivided into seven units: unit No. 1: stratified gravelly sands probably belonging to a glaciofluvial outwash; unit No. 2: silty and clayey glacio-lacustrine rhythmites; unit No. 3: stratified fluvial sands that grade upwards into a lacustrine or alluvial plain fades; unit No. 4: compressed peat beds containing wood. This unit yield finite 14C dates between 34 430 and 26 400 years BP and represents a terrestrial episode characterized by a woody and peaty alluvial plain of boreal type. Unit No. 5 : stratified sands deformed by glaciotectonic structures; unit No. 6: till and ice-contact sediments of the Gentilly Stade of the Wisconsinan ; unit No. 7 : shore sediments of the Goldthwait Sea. Emergence of the island from Goldthwait Sea began by 9800 9400 years BP. Much of the relief of île aux Coudres consists of raised marine landforms from this episode. Some 14C dates are presented. Pollen and diatom analysis of samples from units Nos 2 and 4 allow to go further into details about their paleoenvironments. Possible correlations with stratigraphie units of the St. Lawrence Lowland and Québec area are also discussed.Die Schichtung der île aux Coudres wird durch drei naturliche Schnitte dargestellt, die im Gebiet der Spitze von La Prairie, an der Nord-Westkuste der lnsel zusammenlaufen. Die Entdeckung eines organischen Horizonts in mittlerer Hôhe der Schnitte gestattet, einen Teil der Schichtungs-Einheiten der lnsel dem mittleren Wisconsin zuzuordnen. Der vielschichtige Schnitt besteht von der Basis bis zur Spitze aus sieben Einheiten: Einheit Nr. 1 : sandigkiesige, geschichtete Sedimente, die mit einer fluvioglazialen Schwemmebene in Verbindung gebracht werden; Einheit Nr. 2 : eine Reihe von glazialen Ton-Schlamm See-Rythmiten; Einheit Nr.3: geschichteter FluBsand, der allmâhlich in ein Fazies von Seesedimenten oder das einer Schwemmlandebene ubergeht; Einheit Nr.4: organische phytogene Sedimente, die zusammengepreGten Tort und abgeflachte Holzstuckchen enthalten, und die auf zwischen 34 430 und 26 400 Jahre v.u.Z. da-tiert werden, in Verbindung mit einer Land-Episode, die durch eine bewaldete Schwemmland- und Tortebene von nôrdlichem Typus charakterisiert ist; Einheit Nr.5: geschichteter Sand mit glazialtektonischen Deformierungen; Einheit Nr.6: Till und Eiskontakt-Sedimente, die mit dem glazialen VorstoB von Gentilly in Vergindung gebracht werden; Einheit Nr.7: Kustensedimente aus wenig tiefem Wasser des Goldwaith-Meeres. Die marine post-glaziale Episode hat seit 9800-9400 Jahren v.u.Z., d.h. seit dem GoIdwaith III, dem Relief der lnsel einen groBen Teil seines heutigen Aussehens gegeben. Eine Reihe von Radiodatierungen 14C wird vorgestellt. Die Pollenalayse und die Analyse der Kieselalgen. aus Proben der Schichteneinheiten Nr. 2 und 4, geben lnformationen, die es ermôglichen, ihre Vorzeitumgebungen genauer zu definieren. Die môglichen Korrelationen mit den Shichtungseinheiten des Quaternàr im Tiefland des Sankt Lorenz-Stroms und des Gebiets um Québec werden diskutiert
