Ce texte aborde, d'abord sous la forme d'un récit puis sous celle de réflexions, les thèmes suivants : le monde des enfants dans sa spécificité, le besoin d'imaginaire chez eux et l'utilisation qu'ils en font dans une situation critique, leur besoin aussi d'un espace personnel. La situation critique dont il est question ici, c'est le passage périlleux qu'ont à traverser certains enfants dont la mère est aux prises avec la dépression : comment peuvent-ils maintenir leur élan propre, garder leur accès au désir, leur droit au plaisir? On voit l'usage que l'enfant peut faire dans ce cas de la psychothérapie et aussi la place et le rôle du contre-transfert de la thérapeute dans cette démarche avec l'enfant.This text, first in a narrative, then in a reflective form, deals with the following themes : the world of children in its specificity, their imagination needs, and its function for them in critical situations, and also their need for personal space. The critical situation referred to here is the perilous period with which children of depressed mothers must deal : how are they able to maintain their own momentum to keep their access to desire, their right to pleasure? The use that the child can make of psychotherapy in this case is seen, as is the place and the role of the therapist's countertransference in this work with the child
