La méthodologie de l'Histoire du Québec selon Maurice Séguin (1995) est scientifique. Elle appelle une critique théorique, du point de vue de l'interprétation des concepts de minorisation et d'infériorité, de la place accordée à la conquête de Québec dans le destin de l'Amérique française, du modèle d'espace utilisé, enfin de la question nationale. Maurice Séguin a compris en son temps (1973) la dynamique de double bind qui étreint l'actant collectif du Québec depuis 1774.The scientific approach, as followed by Maurice Séguin in his book Histoire du Québec (1995), deserves a theoretical review. Some ideas, concerning the conditions of minority and inferiority, as well as the consequences of the French and Indian War in 1759-1760, have to be tied, nowadays, with a unprecedented model of anisotropic geographical space. In this perspective, and from now on, we can appreciate that Maurice Séguin, as soon as in the Fifties, used to discern the double bind dynamics which trapped the people of the Province of Québec after 1774
