Le cas de la Martinique permet d'associer tourisme et gestion environnementale. L'analyse des liens entre ces deux aspects porte sur quatre « zones de contact »: 1) l'ignorance dont le milieu local est objet lorsqu'on conçoit l'aménagement touristique; 2) les liens entre le tourisme, l'environnement et l'identité; 3) le choc entre les conceptions et les pratiques en matière d'aménagement et de développement touristique; et 4) les rapports entre l'environnement et la crise du tourisme. L'analyse est faite à partir d'une perspective systémique renouvelée, « autopoietique », ce qui focalise l'analyse au niveau de l'autonomie des processus de reproduction du milieu dans lequel s'insèrent les implantations touristiques. Ceci exige une redéfinition des rapports entre les implantations touristiques et les milieux locaux.The Martinique case permits an association between tourism and environmental management. The linkage analysis between these two aspects are founded on the four following interfaced topics: 1) the lack of participation the local communities have in planning; 2) the links between tourism, environment and identity; 3) the lack of cohesion between conceptions and practices in planning and tourist development matters; and 4) the relations between the environment and the tourism crisis. The analysis is based upon a renewed systemic perspective, « autopoietique » (self-suffïcient). This perspective addresses the problem at the level of the capacities the communities and the tourist infrastructure have in producing an autonomous System. It becomes then necessary to redefine relationships between tourist infrastructure and the local communities
