In order to highlight some of the transformations in the practice of composition that occur due to the introduction of computing, the author provides two texts in a special typographical format which he calls ‘parallel processing’.An allegorical story entitled Wolf-URL together with ensuing texts that deal with interpretations of the allegory, particularly in a section entitled Updaters, Update Now!, attempt to put forward a critical apparatus for dealing with documentation (and underlying ideologies) related to an enquiry, with its non-exhaustive findings, that the author conducted during the spring of 2007 into the transformation of the craft of musical composition since the 1970s. They include musings about the relationship between professor and student composer where the computer plays or does not play a role in the teaching process. The outlines of this enquiry are located in a section entitled Setup Wizard; an assessment model is found in the Assessment Wizard.By means of this new print format, the reader will be able not only to speed up the reading experience and exchange valuable information between the multiple fragments, but will also be able to draw whatever implications seem fitting from the ongoing juxtaposition.Afin de mettre l’accent sur certaines transformations de la pratique compositionnelle par l’insertion de l’informatique, l’auteur présente deux textes dans un format typographique spécial qu’il appelle « traitement en parallèle ».Une histoire allégorique intitulée Wolf-URL ainsi que des textes subséquents qui se veulent une interprétation de l’allégorie, surtout dans le volet Updaters, Update Now!, essayent de fournir un apparat critique capable de s’occuper de la documentation (et des idéologies sous-jacentes) liée à une enquête, avec ses conclusions incomplètes, que l’auteur a faites durant le printemps 2007 auprès d’une trentaine de compositeurs, au sujet de la transformation de l’art de la composition depuis les années 1970. Ces textes comprennent des réflexions sur les liens entre professeur et compositeur éleve où l’ordinateur joue ou ne joue pas un rôle dans la méthode d’enseignement. Les grandes lignes de l’enquête se retrouvent dans le volet Setup Wizard [Wizard de Configuration] ; un modèle d’appréciation se situe dans l’Assessment Wizard [Wizard d’Évaluation].Grâce à ce nouveau format d’impression, le lecteur sera capable non seulement de lire plus rapidement et d’échanger de précieuses informations entre les multiples fragments, mais aussi de tirer des conséquences, quelles qu’elles soient, découlant de la juxtaposition en question
