Christine de Pizan rompt résolument avec la tradition médiévale en envisageantexplicitement sa postérité littéraire. Cette étude examine les valeurs et fonctions duconcept d’éternité chez l’auteure en confrontant divers aspects de son ample oeuvredidactique : historiographie et réflexion politique, spiritualité, morale pratique,manifeste protoféministe. Dans l’analyse de ses ouvrages composés dans les deux premièresdécennies du xve siècle, une attention particulière est accordée à lamise en rapport originale des concepts d’éternité et de nature, qui permet à Christined’intégrer les registres profane et religieux et d’imposer son personnage de femme écrivain,bâtissant une cité éternelle au champ des lettres.In imagining for herself a literary afterlife, Christine de Pizan clearly breaks awayfrom traditional medieval conceptions of time. This paper examines the values and functionsof the concept of eternity in Christine de Pizan’s didactic works, and deals particularlywith historiography, political thought, spirituality, morality, proto-feminism. Attentionwill be drawn to the relation between nature and eternity in the works written during thefirst two decades of the fifteenth century
