Solaris, de Stanislas Lem, explore le motif structurel de la fermeture des systèmes de référence. De plus, cette fermeture encyclopédique que l’on retrouve à tous les niveaux du texte fonde, dans une large mesure, le genre science-fictionnel, comme l’a démontré Marc Angenot dans son article « Le paradigme absent. Éléments d’une sémiotique de la science-fiction ».Stanislas Lem’s Solaris explores the structural motif of the closing of reference systems. Indeed, this story of impossible communication between human explorers and a (perhaps) intelligent planet reveals the mediations that pertain to recursiveness as well as mathematical modeling. Furthermore, this encyclopedic closure, which is found at all levels of the text, forms to a large extent the basis of the genre of science fiction.
