RÉSUMÉChants et contes du Kasayi (Zafre) : repai(è)re de la créativité esthétique populaireL'accueil populaire au Zafre (en particulier au Kasayi), émaillé de chants et de contes, est une occasion sociale importante de réinterprétation métaphorique de la vie et non de simple amusement esthétique. C'est l'un des moments d'explosion de la pensée figurative des dominés. L'analyse de quelques chants, contes populaires du Kasayi et métaphores utilisées révèle le pouvoir réinterprétatif critique du vécu que continuent d'avoir chanteurs et conteurs. Elle tente de relever certaines métaphores conventionnelles du patrimoine symbolique luba, surtout celle de la sorcellerie, appliquée même en contexte colonial et postcolonial.ABSTRACTSongs and Stories from Kasayi : Landmarks and Hideaways of the Popular Aesthetic CreativityIn Zaire, particularly in Kasayi, the custom of welcoming people with songs and stories is practised not just as a simple aesthetic pleasure, but as an important social opportunity to reinterpret life through metaphors. It is a moment when the figurative thought of a dominated group explodes. An analysis of a few popular Kasayi songs and stories, along with the metaphors they contain, shows the power that singers and storytellers continue to have when they reinterpret real life with a critical outlook. Some conventional metaphors from the Luba symbolic heritage are examined, especially those concerning witchcraft, even in colonial and post-colonial contexts
