The prot e in e x pr e ssion of CYP1A1, CYP1 B 1 were d e t e rmin e d b y immunohistoch e mi ca l l y m e t h od. Staining int e nsi t y w a s g r a d e d a s 0 if no st a ining w a s ob s e rv e d, + 1 i f w e a k staini n g w a s pr e s e nt, + 2 if moder a te staining w a s ob s e rv e d, a nd + 3 if stro n g staining w a s pr e s e nt. Results: R e sults w e re a s s e ssm e nt using the tot a l number of p a rti c ipants. W h e n p a tholo g ic a nd histolo g ic a l g lands a re c onsid e r e d, for r i g ht bre a st, a s + 3 staining CY P 1 A1 a nd CY P 1 B 1 prot e in e x pr e ssions we r e found to be 83.33 % a nd 16.67 % r e sp e c tiv e l y . I n + 2 staini n g CYP 1 A1 prot e in e x pr e ssions w a s found to be 1 6 .67 % , but CYP B 1 not e x pr e ssed. F or l e ft br e a st, CYP1A1 prot e in w a s stron g l y s t a ined b y 50 % . I n acc ount of mode r a te stainin g . In te r ms of mod e r a te stainin g , both C Y P1 A 1 a nd C YP1 B 1 prot e ins w e r e e x pr e ssed in 33.33 % p e r c e nt. B e sides, we a k staining r e sults to be foun d . CY P 1A1 a nd C Y P 1 B 1 w e re found to be 16.67 % a nd 33.33 % , resp ec tiv e l y . No statisti ca l l y s i g nifi c a nt dif f e r e n c e w a s found b e tw e e n CYP 1 A1 a nd CYP1 B 1 ( P u003e 0.05 ) . Conclusions: C Y P 1A1 w a s e x pr e ssed in a ll ca s e s, wh e re a s CY P 1 B 1 w a s e x pr e ssed l e ss or not a t all. Th e se r e sults indi ca te th a t CY P 1 A 1 ca n a n i mport a nt m a rk e r in b r ea s t c a n c e r c a s e s.
