Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) mainly harbors PML-RARα fusion gene, which is sensitive to all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and arsenic trioxide (ATO) treatment. However, APL harboring other RARα fusion genes exhibit different drug sensitivity.
