The apparatus is primarily for t he determination of t he co mponents occurring in low partial pressures in a gas mixture, and which ordinarily cannot be determined wi th satisfac tory accuracy because of the s ignificant sorption and desorption of major com ponents in the reagents intended for t he removal of the minor ones. Small amounts of solid and liquid reagents are used in t he apparat us, and co mbus tions, as well as absoprptions, can be performed . The apparatus can be made a separate uni t or part of a standard apparatus for volumetric chemical gas analysis.
