This paper gives t he results of bomb calorimetric measurements of heats of co mbustion at 30° C of one sample of cellulose and four samples of nitrocellulose from cotto n linters, and of one sample of cel lulose and four sampl es of nitrocellulose from wood pulp. Th e results have been combined with values for the heats of formation of carbon d ioxide a nd water to obtain values of heats of formation of t he celluloses a nd nitroce o~es .
