The cultural underground scene which emerged from the Spanish gay, lesbian and trans* movement during the 70’s set the appropriate frame to study the partcularites of creatng from the margins. Filmmakers such as Pedro Almodovar, Pierrot, Jose Romero, Esteve Rovira and the group Els 5 QK’s, worked in this scene, sharing another subcultural characteristc which conected them to the flmic margins they shot their flms by using super 8mm cameras. Their work during the 70’s shows a wide range of politcal strategies that both propose a diferent kind of acton and elaborate formulae of resistance against heteropatriarchal power. The analysis of their flms will let us determine what creatng in the margins means, and will allow us to depict the sexual politcs of marginal flms during Spanish Transiton.
