チャにおけるチャノホコリダニの成虫,卵,幼虫の芽内での分布及び園内での分布様式を,野外及び網室内で調査した。芽内では,全ての態とも大部分の個体が上位の2枚の展開葉に寄生していた。野外に比べ,網室内では芽の先端部に寄生する割合が高かった。葉表に寄生する割合は極めで低く,網室内に比べ野外で低かった。野外では成虫・幼虫は個体,卵は小さなコロニーを単位として,いずれも集中分布をしていた。網室内では,全ての態とも小さなコロニーを単位として集中分布をしていた。分布の集中度は野外に比べ網室内で高かった。若い芽を採取し,その上位の展開葉2枚の葉裏に寄生する虫数を調査する方法が,密度調査法として適切であった。その場合の,密度推定における推定精度と必要抽出芽数の関係を考察した。
