Este  artigo pretende discutir o ir e vir de emigrantes brasileiros neste inicio de  seculo XXI. O projeto de retorno e parte constitutiva do projeto migratorio. Muitos  homens e mulheres, quando partiam para “fazer a America”, afirmavam que  pretendiam  voltar para o Brasil  quando conseguissem realizar o projeto  migratorio, em geral traduzido como reunir os recursos suficientes para comprar  uma casa e um carro e montar um negocio. O artigo pretende discutir como homens  e mulheres vivenciam a experiencia de retornar a terra natal, procurando  analisar como reconstroem o caminho de volta para casa, quais os efeitos das  viagens nas configuracoes identitarias, nas relacoes familiares e de genero. “Voltar e mais dificil do que partir ”,  dizem os emigrantes. Assim, pretendemos demonstrar que o retorno e mais  complexo e que, em muitos casos, os emigrantes passam a viver entre dois  lugares, configurando uma identidade transnacional. Palavras-Chave: Transnacionalismo.  Retorno. Memoria. Abstract This article aims to discuss  the movement of Brazilian emigrants in the beginning of the 21st Century. The  return project is part of the migration project: when leaving to “make America”, many men and women stated that their  intention was to return to Brazil  as soon as they accomplished their migration project, generally translated as  to have enough funding to buy a house, a car and to open a business. This paper  discusses how men and women live the experience of coming back home, trying to  analyze how they reconstruct their way back, and what the effects of the trips  on the identitarian configurations in the family and gender relations are.  “Homecoming is more difficult than leaving”, say the out goers. Thus we intend  to demonstrate that returning is more complex and, in many cases, the emigrants  start to live between two places, setting up a transnational identity. Keywords: Transnationalism.
