El presente articulo estudia la conexion existente entre el escritor Wenceslao Fernandez Florez y la corriente futurista de principios del siglo XX. Los dos primeros apartados abordan el estado de la cuestion en Galicia y el modo en que los escritores de la epoca respondieron al movimiento futurista italiano. Los apartados tres y cuatro examinan los comienzos de la estetica y obra literaria de WFF y analizan tres de sus obras en relacion con este movimiento: “La calma turbada” de la coleccion: La novela de hoy (1925); El malvado Carabel (1931) y El hombre que compro un automovil (1939). Un ultimo apartado de conclusiones recoge la hipotesis de esta investigacion que pretende demostrar la existencia de ciertos rasgos y huellas del movimiento Fururista en la obra de WFF. This essay discusses the connection between Wenceslao Fernandez Florez and Futurism in the early twentieth century. The first two sections include the state of arts in the context of Galicia, the first manifestations of Futurism in Galicia, and how the local writers responded to this Futurist movement. Sections three and four are focused on examining WFF’s early career and contacts with Galician Nationalism and avant-garde movements, and traces of Futurism in some of his novels: “La calma turbada” (1925); El malvado Carabel (1931), and El hombre que compro un automovil (1939). Last section summarizes our hypothesis about the existence of some traces of Futurism in Wenceslao Fernandez Florez’s aesthetics and literary oevre.
