@ivot ima dve dimenzije: kvantitet (izra`ava se koli~inom `ivota, tj. godinama `ivota i predstavqa se kao o~ekivana du`ina ili pre`ivqavawe) i kvalitet (stawe koje varira od „perfektnog“ ili „punog“ zdravqa do „terminalnog“ stadijuma bolesti). Poznata je ~iwenica da broj godina koje ~ovek pro`ivi ne pokazuje puno}u `ivota. Kvalitet `ivota, pored dobrog zdravqa, ukqu~uje i faktore ~ovekovog okru`ewa, `ivotni standard i drugo, ali dobro zdravqe se smatra najva`nijom determinantom. „Kvalitet `ivota je splet spoqnih uslova i li~nih obele`ja, na temequ kojih Summary. Life quality is an important dimension in case of illness, especialy in case of getting some hronical deseases when ill person become, less or more, deprived of physical, mental or social welfare. Quality of life of 41 persons with diabetes was researched and it was concluded that the quality of life had fallen for 30% in the group. Key nords: Diabetes, Quality of life.
