Dostupnost prevoženja jedan je od veoma značajnih elemenata kvaliteta saobraćajno-transportne usluge, koji korisnike usluga opredeljuje za odgovarajuću granu saobraćaja. Najdostupniji je putni saobraćaj, s obzirom na razgranatost putnih komunikacija. Izgradnjom i eksploatacijom industrijskih koloseka, kao prirodnih nastavaka železničkih pruga, uz primenu novih tehnologija kombinovanog prevoženja, železnički saobraćaj postaje sve osposobljeniji za pružanje kompletne usluge, odnosno direktnog prevoženja od pošiljaoca do primaoca. Industrijski koloseci razmatrani su u ovom radu sa aspekta svog udela u podizanju nivoa kvaliteta železničke saobraćajno-transportne usluge. / Accessibility, being among the most important factors of transport quality determines the means of transport. The highest level of accessibility is offered by the system of roads because of its ramifications. However, due to the construction and improvements of branch lines as logical extensions of railroad tracks, and to the application of new technologies of combined transport, the rail transport is constantly becoming better equipped for performing a full service, i.e. a direct transport from the sender to the receiver. This paper analyses the role of branch lines in improving the quality of rail transport service
