The paper analyzes the possibility of increasing capacity at the Open Pit South Mining District in terms of achieving maximum net present value. The analysis is based on the movement of discounted cash flow during exploitation period of 18 years. The modern approach of designing the open pits was used for this consideration using the software Whittle and Gemcom Gems. The analysis showed a positive trend of discounted cash flow from the third year until the end of analyzed period in achieving the net present value in the amount of 596 252 546 $.
