This paper analyzes, based on the comparative sources, factors of the election system that affect the possibility of representation of national minorities in the Parliament, either by supporting representation of national minorities or by diminishing the possibility or representation in the Parliament. I paid special attention to the following factors of the election system: rales of election mathematics, rules of election geometry, nomination of candidates, voting techniques, election threshold and measures of affirmative action. This paper makes reference to the possibility of mutual action of several factors as well as their reciprocal influence that may have synergetic effect. Finally, this paper points out that there are factors that are active out of the election system, especially the number of the members of national minority as well as the area (territory) where they live (concentration or dispersion).
