Conhecer as exigencias nutricionais de uma especie permite intervir com praticas mais eficientes de adubacao desde seu crescimento inicial. Uma das tecnicas que auxiliam na obtencao de dados nutricionais e a de omissao de nutrientes. Portanto, objetivou-se identificar a sintomatologia visual das deficiencias de macronutrientes, avaliar o crescimento e qualidade das mudas de ipe amarelo ( Tabebuia ochraceae Cham.) Standl., cultivadas em solucao nutritiva. O experimento foi realizado na casa de vegetacao da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, onde o clima predominante e o tropical umido, precipitacao media de 1300 mm e temperatura media de 26 oC. As mudas de Tabebuia ochraceae foram produzidas em tubetes e transplantadas para tubos de PVC com areia ao atingirem 20 cm e submetidas, por 15 dias, a solucao nutritiva completa, com renovacao a cada cinco dias. Em seguida, foram submetidas, por 90 dias, a solucoes nutritivas: completa (com macro e micronutrientes) e com omissoes de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com sete tratamentos e quatro repeticoes. Apos 90 dias, verificou-se o crescimento em altura, diâmetro de colo, alem da qualidade das mudas, massa seca e os teores de macronutrientes. Os sintomas de deficiencias foram identificados a cada 15 dias. Aos dados obtidos aplicou-se a Anova e Tukey a 5% e concluiu-se que P foi o macronutriente que mais limitou o crescimento das mudas de Tabebuia ochraceae ; N, K e Ca limitaram a producao de massa seca, sendo que as maiores concentracoes verificadas foram de N, P e K. Abstract To understand the nutritional requirements of a species allows the intervention practices with more efficient fertilizer since its initial growth. One of the techniques that assist in obtaining nutritional data is the omission of nutrients. This study aimed to identify the visual symptoms of macronutrients deficiencies, evaluate the growth and quality of yellow tree seedlings ( Tabebuia ochraceae Cham.) Standl., submitted to nutrient solution. The experiment was conducted in a green house at the Mato Grosso Federal University, where the climate is humid tropical, with average rainfall of1300 mm and average temperature of 26 °C. Tabebuia ochraceae seedlings were grown in plastic tubet and transplanted to PVC tubes with sand when they reached 20 cm and were submitted by 15 days to nutritive complete solution, with renewal every five days. Then, submitted by 90 days to complete solutions (with macro and micronutrients) and omission of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S in a completely randomized design with seven treatments and four replications. After 90 days was verify the growth in height, diameter, seedlings quality, dry weight and macronutrient concentration. The symptoms disabilities were identified every 15 days.It was applied the analysis of variance and Tukey 5% test for the data, concluding that P was the macronutrient that more limited the growth of Tabebuia ochraceae seedlings; N, K and Ca in biomass. The highest concentrations were of N, P and K.
