Este artigo representa um diagnostico limnologico rapido realizado na Area de Relevante Interesse Ecologico Japiim-Pentecoste (ARIE Japiim-Pentecoste), bacia do rio Jurua e sub-bacia do rio Moa, Acre, Brasil, com amostragem realizada no rio Moa, no Parana do Japiim e em dois lagos marginais. A caracterizacao limnologica foi baseada na temperatura da agua, oxigenio dissolvido, pH, condutividade eletrica e turbidez. Os ecossistemas amostrados apresentaram agua de boa qualidade no que se refere a epoca em que foram realizadas as medicoes. A mata ciliar esta preservada, o que confere protecao contra a erosao e reducao da turbidez durante o periodo chuvoso. Abstract This paper presents a fast limnologic diagnosis made in the Area of Relevant Ecological Interest Japiim-Pentecoste (ARIE Japiim-Pentecoste), waterbasin of the Jurua River and sub-basin of the river Moa, Acre, Brazil, with sampling performed at the Moa River in Parana Japiim and two marginal lakes. The limnological characterization was based on water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity and turbidity. The sampled ecosystems showed good water in relation to the time when measurements were done. The riparian forest is preserved, which gives protection against erosion and reduction of turbidity during the rainy season.
