Este trabalho mostra os resultados de um estudo de caso realizado com estudantes de licenciatura em Química e de outros cursos da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), bolsistas do subprojeto de Química no Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação a Docência (PIBID) nos anos de 2010 e 2011. A indagação central da pesquisa foi: “Como o PIBID influenciou a formação inicial dos licenciandos inseridos no programa?”. A pesquisa optou pela técnica de entrevista semiestruturada para avaliar as concepções dos bolsistas sobre a prática docente e o programa. Foi possível constatar que o programa desempenha papel relevante na formação acadêmico-profissional dos estudantes de licenciatura. Os bolsistas do subprojeto se conscientizaram da importância de sempre buscar diferentes recursos e materiais instrucionais e metodologias para melhorar o ensino e o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos de ensino médio. DOI: 10.5935/1984-6835.20150039This work presents the results of a case study done with undergraduate degree students in chemistry and other courses at Mato Grosso do Sul State University (UEMS), in the years 2010 and 2011 of Chemistry subproject of Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID). The central question of the research was "Has PIBID influenced the initial training of academics that entered the program?” The research which opted for the semi-structured interview technique to verify its assumptions about teaching practice and also about the program. It was possible to verify that the program plays an important role in the academic professional training of undergraduate students. The students acquired awareness of the how importance of always be looking for different resources and instructional materials and methodologies to enhance the teaching and the learning  processes of high school students. DOI: 10.5935/1984-6835.2015003
