A síntese da p-nitroacetanilida, realizada na aula de laboratório de química orgânica da Universidade Federal do Ceará, foi transformada a partir do formato tradicional em uma aula de aprendizagem baseada em problemas usando o Arco de Maguerez modificado. O desenvolvimento, implementação e feedback dos alunos são apresentados neste artigo. De acordo com os resultados, o presente estudo nos leva a concluir que a metodologia utilizada é um método alternativo e bem-sucedido para o processo de ensino-aprendizagem da Química Orgânica Experimental. DOI: 10.5935/1984-6835.20140061Synthesis of the p-nitroacetanilide performed in the organic chemistry laboratory class at the Universidade Federal do Ceará was modified from the traditional format into a problem-based learning class using the modified Maguerez’s Arch. The development, implementation and feedback from the students are presented in this article. According to the obtained results, the present study leads us to conclude that the used methodology is an alternative and successful method for the experimental organic chemistry teaching-learning process. DOI: 10.5935/1984-6835.2014006
