In this work, samples of humin fractions (HU) humic acid (HA), the total organic matter in the soil of the river basin Passo da Pedra, located in municipality of Pato Branco PR, were subjected to the techniques of X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, and ultraviolet-visible. By X-ray data of HAs, samples were separated aromatics, which is more and more mineralized and aliphatic organic material. For spectra of Ultraviolet Visible of HAs soil NVd 3-6, LVd 4 and LVd 7-8 have respectively the E4/E6 ratios of 1.23, 1.26 and 1.27 indicating more condensed aromatic humic substances. Already LVd 1-5, 2 RU, RL 9 and CX 10 soils show reason E4/E6 respectively, 1.31, 1.64 and 1.67, it made for less condensed aromatic or aliphatic humic substances. The infrared spectra of the diffuse reflectance HAs shows bands in the region 2930 cm attributable to aliphatic CH; the band at 1730 cm has low intensity, indicating that the samples have a low concentration of free COOH groups. By analysis of X-rays of humin, it is clear that the main minerals that existed in the soil remain in the fraction. By DRU-VIS analysis, it can be noted that the data of reason E4/E6 are high, suggesting more aliphatic structures and indicating the interactions of clay minerals in the soil. DRIFT spectra of humin showed bands attributed to clay minerals such as kaolinite and gibbsite with vibration in the region 3690-3530 cm.
