魚 類 の 分 類 は、 これ まで 主 に形 態 学 的研 究 お よ び ア イ ソザ イ ム分 析 に よ り行 わ れ て き た が 、 最 近 で はDNA レベ ル で の 研 究 が 多 く行 わ れ て い る(木 島 ら、1990、 木 島 、1991お よ び 渡 辺 ら、1994な ど)。 ハ ゼ科 に属 す る ウ キ ゴ リ(Chaerzogobius urotanenia Hilgendorf)は 、 中 西(1978a、b)に よ り淡 水 型 、 中 流 型 お よ び汽 水 型 の3型 に 分 類 され 、 そ れ ぞ れ に ウキ ゴ リ、 シマ ウ キ ゴ リ (Chaenogobius sp.1)お よ び ス ミウキ ゴ リ(Chaenogobius sp.2)の 和 名 が 与 え られ 区 別 され て い る(益 田 ら、1984、 石 野 、1989)。 しか し、 これ らの 魚 類 につ い て の生 化学 的研 究 の 報 告 例 は な い。 そ こ で 今 回 、 ウ キ ゴ リ3型 の ミ ト コ ン ド リ ア 12SrRNA遺 伝 子 のRELPパ タ ンの分 析 を 行 う と 同 時 に 、 これ ら と近 縁 種 の 関係 に あ る ウ キ ゴ リ属 の ビ リ ンゴ (Chaenogobius castaneus O'Shaughnessy)お よ び チ チ ブ 属 の ヌ マ チ チ ブ(Tridentiger kuruiwae breuispinis Katsuyama,Arai et Nakamura)と の 比 較 を 試 み た(川 那 部 ・水野,1990,沖 山1988)。
