Magnetohydrodynamics is an important tool to study the dynamics of plasmaSpace Physics. In this context, we introduce a three-dimensionalmagnetohydrodynamic solver with divergence-cleaning in the adaptivemultiresolution CARMEN code. The numerical scheme is based on a finite volumediscretization that ensures the conservation of physical quantities. Theadaptive multiresolution approach allows for automatic identification of localstructures in the numerical solution and thus provides an adaptive mesh refinedonly in regions where the solution needs more improved resolution. We assessthe three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic CARMEN code and compare its resultswith the ones from the well-known FLASH code.
