La vida humana, a solas o en sociedad, se desenvuelve en un rumor permanente: la vida “suena”. Y la arquitectura, a su servicio, “resuena” con ella. Acomodar la resonancia de un recinto cualquiera a los rumores propios de sus habitantes en el ejercicio de sus tareas es un principio de buena habitación que al arquitecto importa observar. La referencia a la música, y a los espacios que a ella se destinan, contribuye en este sentido a afinar nuestra sensibilidad al respecto. Proponemos, pues, en este artículo entender la arquitectura como una “segunda” caja de resonancia, semejante en su función a la de un instrumento, y que “atempera” cada espacio habitable, dotándolo en su caso de la acústica que le conviene. Lo que sin duda ha de redundar en el bienestar obtenido.Human life, on its own or in society, develops amidst a permanent murmur: life “sounds”. And architecture at its service, “resonates” with it. Accommodating the resonance of any given space to the murmurs of its inhabitants in the exercise of their activities is a principle of proper inhabiting that architects are to observe. The reference to music and the spaces intended for it, contributes in this sense to refine our sensitivity in this regard. Thus, in this article, we suggest to understand architecture as a “second” resonance box, similar in its function to that of an instrument, and which tempers each habitable space, providing the appropriate acoustics, which will undoubtedly reflect in the resulting comfort.Peer Reviewe
