A colheita e uma das etapas mais importantes do sistema de producao da cultura do trigo. Os prejuizos qualitativos e quantitativos durante a colheita sao proporcionados por varios motivos, sendo o teor de umidade dos graos um dos principais responsaveis pelo desperdicio durante a colheita. Contudo, desenvolveu-se um trabalho com o objetivo de avaliar as perdas quantitativas e qualitativas dos graos de trigo em decorrencia da umidade do grao no momento da colheita. O ensaio foi realizado no municipio de Ivaipora (PR), em uma lavoura comercial de trigo, cultivar CD-104. A colhedora utilizada foi uma New Holland – 8055, acoplada a uma plataforma Super Flex – 15 pes (4,50 m largura). Os tratamentos constaram de diferentes teores de umidade nos graos de trigo (13,2; 16,3; 18,4; 20,5; 23,4 % de umidade dos graos). As caracteristicas avaliadas foram: perdas quantitativas (perdas pre-colheita, perdas na plataforma de corte, perda nos mecanismos internos da colhedora e perda total) e as perdas qualitativas (porcentagem de graos quebrados e amassados). Os resultados evidenciaram que o maior conteudo de agua nos graos de trigo foi o fator decisivo para se expressar as perdas quantitativas e qualitativas durante a colheita. As perdas observadas na plataforma de corte, colhedora e perdas totais bem como a porcentagem de graos quebrados e amassados aumentaram a medida com que se aumentou o conteudo de umidade dos graos. Em todas as umidades avaliadas, a porcentagem de graos quebrados na amostra foi sempre superior a de graos amassados em todos os teores de umidade avaliadas. Abstract The harvest is one of the most important stages of the production system of wheat. The qualitative and quantitative losses during harvest are provided for various reasons and the moisture content of grain a major contributor to the waste during harvesting. However developed a study aiming to assess the quantitative and qualitative losses of wheat grain as a result of grain moisture at harvest. The test was conducted at Ivaipora (PR) in a commercial farming of wheat, cultivar CD-104. The harvester was used a New Holland - 8055 coupled to a platform Super Flex - 15 ft (4.50 m width). The treatments consisted of different moisture content in grains of wheat (13.2, 16.3, 18.4, 20.5, 23.4% grain moisture). The characteristics evaluated were: quantitative losses (pre-harvest losses, losses on the cutting deck, loss in the internal mechanisms of the harvester and total loss) and qualitative losses (percentage of broken grains and crushed). The results showed that the highest water content in wheat grain was the deciding factor to express the quantitative and qualitative losses during harvest. The losses observed in the cutting deck, combine harvesters and total losses and the percentage of broken grains and crushed rose as it increased with the moisture content of grain. In all humidities evaluated the percentage of broken grains in the sample were higher than that of crushed grains in all the moisture evaluated.
