In recent years, the use of online learning platforms, especially during, post-COVID-19 pandemic, has become increasingly common in educational institutions globally. E-learning refers to the use of electronic media to facilitate, enhance teaching, learning, often characterized by the use of multimedia resources; online AI has emerged as a powerful that can adapt, personalize learning experiences to meet the specific needs of learners, enhancing their educational outcomes, promoting inclusivity. This article is desktop research aiming to explore literature in the use of AI in supporting special needs learners, highlighting the problem statement, research questions,, providing a comprehensive literature review on the topic. The study explores literature from scholars in the field of Special Needs Education (SEN), reports,, published material. The results reveal that studies on AI are focusing less on learners with disabilities, notwithstanding the issues of digital divide, exclusion. It further reveals that AI offers opportunities to personalize learning experiences for special needs learners by adapting content, pace, assessments,, presentations according to their individual needs.
