Industrial revolution 4.0 is a term that is becoming increasingly popular among academics. A number of articles have been produced to emphasize the beneficial aspects of the stated issue under many titles such as cyber physical systems, internet of things, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and digitalization of industrial production, and so on. However, few academics have delved into the negative or dark side of such a profound technological paradigm change, especially the artificially intelligent robots, creating a large knowledge vacuum. Because of this, little is known about the negative repercussions of AI, a key component of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (or 4.0). To help academics and practitioners prepare and devise ways to minimize the projected large number of deaths in the future, this chapter will outline the potential disadvantages/negative repercussions of artificially intelligent super-computer machines and robots.
