Experimental author results on the use of technogenic phenols as inhibitors are presented to undesirable polymerization in petrochemicalmanufactures. The basicways of increase inhibiting properties of coke-chemical phenols are shown, such as rectification for separation of two-nuclear derivatives or some examples of their chemical modification, allowing to increase the inhibiting efficiency of phenolic mixes, for example, by novolak fenol-formaldehyde condensation or oxidative coupling reactions. The received derivatives of phenols are recommended both for processing pyrocondensates and for rectification of styrene.
