The wo rld climate change is a p henomenon t hat is widely discussed in recent times. It causes a huge impact to the population of t he world. G lobal wa rming causes the world's ra infall pattern to change including Malaysia. T oday w et a nd dry se ason is very h ard to be accurately predicted. Rainy season is getting more f requent and causing de struction t o properties and halting economic growth of a nation. Evidence shows that climate change and g lobal warming is caused by human's own lifestyle a nd ac tivities. Man's savage way is the main c aused f or g lobal climate c hange. Life Cy cle As sessment (LCA) is a t ool that could be u sed t o as sess a pr oduct or service from cradle- to-grave. This tool is capable of proving that every human invention has weaknesses and is threatening human life. In water tre atment p rocess, chemicals and electricity is ne eded. A sudden increase in water le vel i n river c aused by he avy rain resulted in higher u sage of ch emicals to treat wa ter. L ife Cycle Imp act Assessment (LCIA) whi ch uses ecoindicator 99 evaluation m ethod to assess the chemicals and electricity, shows t hat the p roduction of Polyaluminium chloride (P AC) caus es dam age to human health ( respiratory inorganic) while e lectricity generation i s fast depleting the natural resource of f ossil fuel suc h as n atural ga s. T hese situation show that t he irregular rate of ra infall resulted from the world's climate change not only af fect human (eg. Inorganic respitory) but also indirectly causing des truction to t he environment (depletion of natural gas) during the treatment of water. To ov ercome this problem the use of PAC a s coagulant can be substituted with A lum. From the impact analysis, it is found that by replacing PAC with Al um, damage is reduced to more t han 90% in da mage to human heal th and ecosystem quality. This the same if electricity generation using natural gas is replaced wi th t he combination of natural gas and re newable e nergy technologies such as s olar pane ls and hydroelectric. I mpact analysis also shows that there is 50% reduction i n da mage to resources when 50% natural gas and 50% renewable energy (solar panel and hydroelectric) without affecting human health and the environment.
