This chapter encompasses two objectives. The first objective is to understand different conceptualisation of technology, context and the user according to various theoretical perspectives within information systems (IS) literature and in the field of healthcare/medical informatics; and in addition, outline perspectives that have expounded the nature of relationship between these three entities.
