Drug interactions are a known issue in the medical field and occur when a component, drug or not, alters the effect of the drug causing an adverse reaction. Based on quantitative bibliometrics process, we identified that when it comes to drug-drug interaction there are several reference works, but the same does not occur with the drug-food interaction. Thus, this work aims to find ways to alert possible adverse reactions caused by drug-food interactions. In this paper we present the analysis of related works and the proposal of the system based on association rules to extract patterns that may indicate interactions between medication and food. Resumo. Interações medicamentosas são um problema conhecido na área da saúde e ocorrem quando um componente, fármaco ou não, altera o efeito do medicamento gerando uma reação adversa. A partir de um processo de bibliometria quantitativa identificamos que quando se trata de interação medicamentomedicamento existem vários trabalhos de referência, porém o mesmo não ocorre com a interação fármaco-nutriente. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo encontrar formas de alertar possı́veis reações adversas causadas por interações fármaco-nutriente. Neste artigo apresentamos a análise de trabalhos relacionados e a proposta do sistema a partir de regras de associação para extrair padrões que possam indicar interações entre medicamento e alimentos.
