Este artigo tem como foco central abordar a elaboracao de um material didatico dinâmico que auxilie no processo de ensino e aprendizagem sobre a tematica geologica: terremoto. O experimento foi produzido pelos alunos de Geografia, na materia de geologia, na FACIP, Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Para isso, foi discutida a importância do material didatico para a construcao do conhecimento e como se da o processo de formacao do mesmo, alem das etapas de elaboracao do material e um breve aclaramento sobre a dinâmica tratada. Portanto, conclui-se que o material didatico e um recurso essencial para as aulas de geografia fisica, principalmente na tematica sobre terremotos, visto que e um processo dinâmico e abstrato. Representar aos alunos como ocorre o terremoto atraves do material didatico dinâmico gera resultados satisfatorios quanto ao processo de construcao do conhecimento. Abstract This article focuses mainly on approaching the elaboration of a dynamic didactic material that helps in the process of teaching and learning about earthquakes. The experiment was produced by the students of Geography, in the subject of Geology, at the FACIP, Federal University of Uberlândia. In order to do this, we discussed about the importance of the didactic material for the construction of knowledge and how the formation process takes place, beside the stages of material elaboration and a brief clarification on the treated dynamics. Therefore, it is concluded that the didactic material is an essential resource for the classes of physical geography, mainly in the subject about earthquakes, since it is a dynamic and abstract process. Representing to the students how the earthquake occurs through the dynamic didactic material generates as satisfactory results as the process of building knowledge.
