Este trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar os aspectos fitossociologicos de cinco fragmentos florestais inseridos no perimetro das zonas norte e leste da cidade de Manaus-AM. Foram abertas cinco parcelas de 20x20 m entre ambientes de vertentes e baixio. Considerou-se para a area de amostragem DAP acima de 10 cm com base em Durigan (2003). Os resultados obtidos na analise fitossociologica indicam que as parcelas apesar de estarem isoladas, apresentaram semelhancas quanto a sua fisionomia floristica consistindo em individuos de especies arborea com resquicio de vegetacao primaria. Os fragmentos de modo geral caracterizam-se como sendo uma floresta de vegetacao secundaria, em estagio medio de regeneracao, contendo arvores de altura predominante entre 5 a 32 metros. Os indices de diversidade indicam que apenas duas dentre as cinco obtiveram valor acima de 2,0. Ademais, o valor foi inferior e considerado baixo quando comparados com outros estudos de fragmento no Amazonas. Palavras–chave: Fragmentos Florestais, Vegetacao, Fitossociologia Abstract This work aims to characterize the phytosociology aspects of five forest fragments inserted in the perimeter of the north and east of the Manaus-AM city. Five 20 x 20 m plots were opened between slope and shallow environments. The DAP sampling area above 10 cm based on Durigan (2003) was considered for the sampling area. The results obtained in the phytosociological analysis indicate that the plots, although isolated, presented similarities as to their floristic physiognomy consisting of individuals of arboreal species with remnants of primary vegetation. The fragments are generally characterized as being a forest of secondary vegetation, in the middle stage of regeneration, containing trees of predominant height between 5 and 32 meters. Diversity indices indicate that only two of the five had a value above 2,0. In addition, the value was lower and considered low when compared with other fragment studies in Amazonas.
