A quantificacao de geossitios e sitios de geodiversidade e a etapa imediatamente posterior a realizacao do inventario. A partir da quantificacao, e possivel classificar e comparar os pontos inventariados em uma determinada localidade. A quantificacao tambem pode ser utilizada para a tomada de decisoes pelo poder publico, viabilizando a concentracao de recursos nos pontos de maior potencial, ou o agrupamento dos diversos pontos de acordo com suas afinidades, dentre outras possibilidades. Neste trabalho, quatorze sitios de geodiversidade foram inventariados no Municipio de Lagoa dos Gatos, Estado de Pernambuco, foram quantificados utilizando-se o novo metodo de Brilha com a determinacao dos valores: Educacional (VE), Turistico (VT) e Risco de Degradacao (RD). Apos esta quantificacao, os sitios foram divididos em grupos, de acordo com a sua semelhanca, a partir da aplicacao da tecnica de Analise de Agrupamentos. O que e inovador neste metodo e a forma de avaliacao desse conjunto de dados. Os tres parâmetros sao avaliados distintamente e relacionados, e as relacoes desses tres elementos criam uma resposta em forma de grupos que representam as diversas modalidades da geodiversidade de uma determinada area. A aplicacao da tecnica de Analise de Agrupamentos permitiu a formacao de sete grupos a partir dos quatorze geossitios inventariados. De acordo com as caracteristicas dos grupos, foi possivel definir prioridades, visto que geralmente ha limitacao de recursos a serem investidos. Abstract The quantification of geosites and Geodiversity Sites in some area follows the realization of the inventory. Once the quantification is complete it is possible to compare all sites that were catalogued during the inventory phase. The quantification may be used as decision-making by the public administration helping the distribution of resources for the sites with greater potential, or groups of sites according to their affinities. In this work it was conducted an inventory of fourteen Geodiversity Sites in the municipality of Lagoa dos Gatos, state of Pernambuco. They were quantified using the new method proposed by Brilha with the determination of the values: Educational (EV), Tourist (TV) and Degradation Risk (DR). Following the quantification the Geodiversity Sites were grouped according to their affinities, using the technique called grouping analyses. What is new in this grouping method is how to evaluate this data set. The three parameters are evaluated and distinctly related, and the relationships of these three elements create a response in the form of groups representing the different types of geodiversity of a given area. The application of the cluster analysis technique allowed the formation of seven groups from fourteen potential geosites inventoried. According to the characteristics of the groups, it was possible to set priorities, since there are usually limited resources to be invested.
