O artigo visa examinar a inter-relacao entre os aspectos da religiosidade e da guerra na Reconquista crista, isto e, o empreendimento militar dos reinos cristaos do norte iberico, unidos para a retomada das terras sob o dominio muculmano, sobretudo entre os seculos XI e XIII. A analise tem como ponto de partida a cantiga n. 169, que integra a literatura piedosa de Afonso X, o Sabio, na representacao dos aspectos historicos da Reconquista, colocados sob a otica da historia da salvacao. Abstract The article aims to examine the interrelationship between aspects of religiousness and war during the Christian Reconquest, in other words, the military enterprise of the Christian kingdoms from the north of Iberian peninsula, united for the resumption of the lands under the Muslim domain, especially among the eleventh and thirteenth centuries. The analysis has its basis in the ditty number 169, which compose part of the pious literature of Alfonso X, The Wise, in the representation of the historical aspects of the Reconquest, placed under the perspective of salvation history.
