It has been observed that there is a significant negative correlation between arctic oscillation’s index values and the monthly mean minimum temperature values taken from the 32 stations chosen across Turkey. However, more interestingly the reaction of the stations to the Arctic Oscillation and the degree of the significance of the correlations become weaker as we move in a west direction. We also see that the factors of continentality-maritim have also obvious effects on the correlation values.
