Inthisstudy, thepotentialbiomassenergyof Bursa province was presented. Manure, one of the animal biomass wastes, has been taken into consideration as a potential biomass source.Manure is a renewable energy source that can be used as a biogas source.The animal biomass factors were investigated as bovine animals, sheep and goat, poultry and theirs subspecies. The subspecies are culture cattle, cross bred cattle, domestic cattle, buffalo, horse, camel, pig, mule, donkey, sheep and goat, broiler chicken, laying hen, turkey, goose and duck. Animal numbers, waste mass and energy potential were shown in tables. The most potent subspecies and the best location was investigated for new biomass plants. The data published by Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey are used in the study. The investigation shows that energy potential according to animal waste is % 56 from bovine animals, % 40 from poultry and % 4 from sheep and goats. Additionally the most fertile towns from the point of biomass energy potential are Karacabey, Mustafakemalpaşa and Nilüfer. © Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi
