Bu makalede sınırları sürekli değişen bir dayanışmalar dizisi olarak ele alınacak halk\udve onun üzerine inşa edilen siyasal tahayyüller ele alınacaktır. Devletin bu tahayyülleriyle\udparalel bir seyir izleyen müzik politikaları vasıtasıyla bu tahayyülleri anlamak, bu makalenin\udtemel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Osmanlı’dan Cumhuriyet’e halkın değişen müziksel\udtemsilleri, bizzat “halk” olarak ele alınan toplumsal grupların değişimi bağlamında anlam\udkazanmaktadır. Bu açıdan halkın sınırları sürekli değişen bir dayanışmalar dizisi olarak ele\udalınması, müziğin değişen siyasal tahayyülünü anlamak açısından anahtar görevi\udtaşımaktadır. Osmanlı’da sadece saray ve çevresiyle bağlantılı bir siyasal tercih olarak öne\udçıkan müzik, bir siyasal proje olarak ulus devlet bağlamında, toplumun geneline yayılan bir\udpolitikaya dönüştürülmüştür. İmparatorluklardan, ulus devletlerarası bir siyasal konjonktüre\uddoğru değişen dünyada, bir meşruiyet arayışı olarak okunabilecek bu sürecin özellikle\ud2000’li yıllarda öne çıkan çok parçalı görünümü dikkat çekicidir. Geleneksel, modern ve\udpost modern bir seyir olarak da okunması mümkün bu sürecin, mehterle başlayıp, klasik batı\udmüziği ile devam eden öyküsü, günümüzün gevşek bağlarla bağlı toplumsal gerçekliği\udiçerisinde, siyasal seçim kampanyalarında kullanılan müziklerde ete kemiğe bürünmektedir.This paper largely investigates the politic imagination of music and politic music of\udimagination in the founding years of the Ottomans to the present by looking at\udrepresentation of music. From the Ottomans to the present, the changing musical\udrepresentations of folk can be understood in the context of the changing social groups called\udas“folk”. In this connection, “folk” as the series of solidarity which has continuously\udchanging boundaries is the key concept to understand politic imagination of music. The\uddifference of music policy between the Ottoman and early Republican Turkey is the\uddirection of the project. For Ottomans, western classical music is the a kind of ‘mask’ which\udonly serves in the palace. On the contrary for early Republican Turkey western classical\udmusic is serve as social engineering project, which is applied on whole country. This process\udcan be understood among the nation-states as a legitimate quest. Especially prominent in the\ud2000s fragmented social cases are striking; Also this historical process can be read as\udtraditional, modern and post modern processes. The story of change that is started with Mehter and then keeps going with western classical music, is traceable in the context of\udelection songs of today
