Problems of authorship are common in the Spanish classical theatre, and are compounded in the case of comedies that have not aroused particular interest among scholars, because there are hardly any studies that support or discuss one authorship or another. This is the case with the comedy titled Satisfacer callando or Los hermanos encontrados, attributed in the 17th century both to Lope de Vega and Agustín Moreto. This article examines in detail the two authorships, taking into account all ancient editions and manuscripts of the comedy which have been preserved, and concludes that it was not written by either, so it should join the list of Spanish Golden Age comedies that are in search of an author.Los problemas de autoría son frecuentes en el teatro clásico español, y se agravan en el caso de comedias que no han despertado particular interés entre los estudiosos, pues no existen apenas estudios sobre ellas que avalen o discutan una u otra autoría. Así sucede con la comedia titulada Satisfacer callando o Los hermanos encontrados, atribuida en el siglo XVII tanto a Lope de Vega como a Agustín Moreto. En este artículo se examinan en detalle ambas autorías, teniendo en cuenta todos los testimonios antiguos conservados de la comedia, y se concluye que no fue escrita por ninguno de los dos, de tal manera que debe engrosar la lista de comedias del Siglo de Oro que están en búsqueda de autor
