La celebrada declaració d’amor que Tirant fa a Carmesina, en la qual un objecte agafa tot el protagonisme, serveix en aquest article com a pretext per replantejar el protagonisme absolut que l’estudi de textos ha tingut en la codificació del que avui entenem com a amor cortès. Aquesta anàlisi persegueix, a través de l’exploració d’objectes creats ex profeso per a fins amatoris, posar en relleu la importància de la cultura material en el desenvolupament i el perfeccionament de l’ideari eròtico-amorós de l’aristocràcia baixmedieval. Estudiar la gestualitat i la materialitat de certes escenes galants en objectes del període pot suposar una nova pista per a la comprensió de la cultura amatòria en època gòtica.Tirant’s celebrated declaration of love to Carmesina, in which an object assumes the role of main character, serves in this article as a pretext to rethink the leading role that the study of texts has had in the articulation of what we understand as courtly love. This study seeks to highlight the importance of material culture in the development of the ideology of the erotic of the late medieval aristocracy through the exploration of objects created for amatory purposes. Studying the gesture and materiality of certain gallant scenes in some art pieces of the period may provide a new clue to understanding the culture of love in the Gothic period.La celebrada declaración de amor que Tirant hace a Carmesina, en la que un objeto toma todo el protagonismo, sirve en este artículo como pretexto para replantear el protagonismo absoluto que el estudio de textos ha tenido en la codificación de lo que hoy entendemos como amor cortés. El presente análisis persigue, a través de la exploración de objetos creados ex profeso para fines amatorios, poner de relieve la importancia de la cultura material en el desarrollo y el perfeccionamiento del ideario erótico-amoroso de la aristocracia bajomedieval. Estudiar la gestualidad y la materialidad de ciertas escenas galantes en objetos del período puede suponer una nueva pista para la comprensión de la cultura amatoria en época gótica
