Conforme a la teoría de Kierkegaard de lo «ético» como un «estadio», como actitud fre nte a la existencia, el pseudónimo de la segunda parte de O lo uno, o lo otro (1843) es considerado a menudo su firme defensor. Climacus, el autor ficticio de la Apostilla (1846), c o m p a rte esta opinión en su revisión de las obras anteriores de Kierkegaard. The results of this analysis are confirmed by a view upon the following development of the Kierkegaardian theory of stages concluding with Climacus himself. Precisely within this development, the concept of the «ethical» undergoes a considerable transformation. Concomitantly, this development might be read as well as a divergence from German Idealism
