L’ocultació de l’Escola Moderna de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia continua essent, avui dia, una constatació dels civilitzats fets punibles en la institucionalització simbòlica dels poders pedagògics. En la crisi actual del sistema educatiu internacional i quan la institució escolar perd legitimitat com a transmissora del saber, les mirades retrospectives poden orientar-nos cap a horitzons u-tòpics en què puguem anhelar (re)contextualitzacions crítiques noves. El model d’educació física adoptat a les escoles racionalistes catalanes de principis del segle XX respon a la identificació d’un model educatiu crític, social —no pas institucional—, universal i antibel·ligerant, que avui serveix de mirall per revisar i reflexionar al voltant de les possibilitats d’una educació física crítica.The suppression of Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia’s Modern School continues even today to be the confirmation of what is civilised yet also punishable within the symbolic institutionalisation of educational powers. In the current crisis of the international educational system and when the school (as an institution) is losing legitimacy as the transmitter of knowledge, retrospective views can help to guide us towards u-topian horizons in which to entreat new critical (re)contextualisations. The model of physical education adopted in the rationalist Catalan schools at the beginning of the 20th century responded to the identification of a critical educational model, one that was social—not institutional—universal and anti-belligerent. It is one that today serves as a mirror in which to both revise and reflect on the possibilities of a critical physical education.La ocultación de la Escuela Moderna de Francisco Ferrer Guardia sigue siendo hoy una constatación de los civilizados hechos punibles en la institucionalización simbólica de los poderes pedagógicos. En la actual crisis del sistema educativo internacional y cuando la institución escolar pierde legitimidad como transmisora de saberes, las miradas retrospectivas pueden orientarnos hacia horizontes u-tópicos en los que anhelar nuevas (re)contextualizaciones críticas. El modelo de educación física adoptado en las escuelas racionalistas catalanas de principios del siglo XX responde a la identificación de un modelo educativo crítico, social —que no institucional—, universal y antibeligerante, que hoy sirve de espejo para revisar y reflexionar en torno a las posibilidades de una educación física crítica
